Marshall & Kate

This weekend, I was able to help celebrate the marriage of Parker's brother to a very sweet gal.  It was such a special time!  I arrived on Bachelor Party night and showed up to a house of 13ish guys.  All weekend I stayed in what my dad referred to as the "guys dorm" with anywhere from 4-5 guys, 3 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom.  It really wasn't all that bad though, well minus the snoring.  The rehearsal dinner was at Morts Delicatessen a delicious sandwich place.  I picked out Parker's tie to match my dress and he got tons of compliments on it.  If you are wondering why his shirt is unbuttoned in the picture, well, let's just say that the grooms gift was a 1/2 gallon flask and Parker was practicing trying to hide it.
The wedding was in a beautiful Catholic church.

Parker and I were in charge of decorating Marshall's car.
Between the ceremony and the reception they took pictures at a local park with a wooden bridge over the water.  The Minnesota fall colors were gorgeous!
Parker took his best man speech very seriously.  He had many pages of notes.  He did an outstanding job!
The reception was a fun celebration.  I even got to sit at the head table!  Before the dancing even started, my feet were killing me.  The poka dot 4 inch heals were quite fashionable, though not so comfortable.  I still wouldn't have made a different choice though, especially when my amazing boyfriend was there to give me piggy back rides.

A fun time was had by all.  The boys' grandma even got in on the action with their Scotch drinking tradition.
Can you tell we're brothers?
The next morning, Kate and Marsh had a brunch with gift opening.  Somehow I missed a picture of them, but captured Parker and his mom instead.

The last night I was in MN, Parker and I brought dinner over to the newlyweds.  It was so much fun to see their cute apartment and spend some quality time together.  After dinner that night, Parker and I were also looking forward to some quiet time with just the two of us.  That didn't happen so much.  When we pulled into Parker's neighborhood, we were greeted with half a dozen police cars, the canine unit, and a chopper with a spotlight.  After we were pulled over, and our IDs were checked, we proceeded to his house, only to find the front door unlocked!  The police said that there was a convict loose in the neighborhood.   Three officers searched and cleared Parker's house before we were allowed in.  Let's just say that we were a little on edge all night.  I watched my sweet boyfriend put together Legos in the living room until quite late.  Apparently it helps keep Parker calm and distracted, though I'm not quite sure it worked in this situation.  What an exciting end to an incredible weekend!

A Canadian Thanksgiving E-Card

My dearest Andrea,

All the world I might search,
High and low, far and wide.

Yet I only find myself farther from those most important to me.
I am thankful for my travels,
I am thankful for my job,
I am thankful for my adventures,
and all that I have.
I am even thankful for the chance
to give thanks twice this year.

But most of all, I am thankful for you, my dear.

Yours always, Park

I received this e-card and a bunch of beautiful fall flowers at work today.  I'm sure a lucky gal.
